When you use ShortenCV, we process the following data to generate your resume:

• CV/resume content you provide (file upload, LinkedIn URL, or pasted text)
• Job description text, if provided
• Your selected language preference
• Your IP address (used solely for rate limiting and abuse prevention)

2. How We Use Your Data

Your CV content and job description are sent to a third-party AI model to generate a formatted one-page resume. We do not store your CV content, job descriptions, or generated resumes on our servers after processing is complete. Data is held in memory only for the duration of the request.

3. Data Retention

We do not persist your CV content, job descriptions, or generated output. All processing happens in real time and data is discarded once the response is delivered to your browser. Payment records are maintained by Stripe in accordance with their data retention policies.

4. Your Consent

By submitting your CV content through our service, you consent to the processing of your data as described in this policy. You may choose not to use the service if you do not agree with these terms.
